The Karina Burns Dance Academy offers the highest standard of dance and musical theatre training through the Imperial Society Teachers of Dance and Royal Academy of Dance. Classes start from 2 years old and can be taken in Tap, Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Commercial, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acrobatic Arts, Singing and Drama. The dance academy was established in 2005 and runs from a custom built studio in Widnes.
We offer a supportive and uniquely confidence building environment for every student. Through our carefully selected team of dedicated professionals we bring out the best in every student and provide them with a foundation that will stay with them throughout their dance career.
The dance school receives excellent exam results and commendations in national competitions and provides opportunities for every child to reach their full potential. Qualifications can be gained in all subjects from grades to majors and these have QCA recognition and therefore recognition within the educational system.
The drama and singing sections of the school concentrate on performance and encouraging confidence. Miss Karina (Principal) believes in extremely high standards and works very closely with the students to achieve these standards. London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art examinations can be taken in drama and singing. All students are encouraged to take part in exams, shows, competitions and auditions.
The emphasis is on enjoyment, however all students are given the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of dance styles and performance skills. Through their studies students are also taught courtesy towards others and the discipline to apply themselves to their work.
